Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran, born on March 10, 1949, is an American businesswoman and investor. She is also a lecturer and consultant, a columnist syndicated, speaker as an author, author, and television presenter. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then exited the business. One of the original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until today. As of February 2020 she had signed 53 deals. One of them was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran was the second of 10 children born to a working class Irish-Catholic couple located in Edgewater, New Jersey. Florence, her mother was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr., bounced from job to job throughout Corcoran's childhood. Her family often relied on free delivery of food from a local grocery store. Corcoran recalls her father being a drunkard who sometimes treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially after he had been drinking. Corcoran struggled through her schooling before discovering that she had dyslexia. Corcoran went to an Catholic primary school within her area and started the high school year in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran was proficient in several courses her freshman year. She was transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
